La Cocina Bonita is our restaurant, serving highly vital food made on the very best ingredients Lake Atitlán and its surroundings have to offer.
Our principles are based in the permaculture philosophy of looking at what nature provides around us on any given day, and in decades of studies on what makes people and planet thrive. Through our two decades of working this we have realized, that the health of the planet and the well-being of humans go hand in hand. A truly nourishing meal doesn’t compromise between flavor, nutrition and sustainability - it has it all!
About our food
We believe that food is medicina so in our kitchen we focus on vitality, joy, taste and beauty. The food is as organic/wild/natural as possible.
We always avoid refined foods, seed oils, chemicals and other elements that are harmful to the body and the planet, and we steer away from monoculture crops as much as we possibly can. But most importantly: It tastes good!
